Resumo: This chapter of “Pillars of Chromatography” describes improvements in the technique of thin layer chromatography that took place after Stahl had shown its repetibility when the stationary phase layers were reproducible. This initiated other modifications that resulted in high performance and, more recently, ultra peformance stationary phases and in pressurized development systems that provide more rapid and uniform development..
