Resumo: As presented in the release edition of the Scientia Chromatographica, this column will deal with Troubleshooting in chromatography – addressing the comprehension and resolution of the usual problems depicted by chromatographic systems and methods of analysis. In this edition, we will present an introduction to the concepts and strategies of the troubleshooting technique, applied for chromatographic systems and methods. In the second part, a description of the high performance liquid chromatographic system will be presented, focusing on the understanding and prevention of the most usual problems that a chromatographist is used to deal with.
