Collins, Carol H.

Palavras-chave: History of chromatography, Thin layer chromatography, Liquidsolid chromatography, Adsorption chromatography.

Resumo: This chapter of “Pillars of Chromatography” describes the diverse developments and applications of thin layer chromatography, which employs the adsorption mechanism, initially proposed by Tswett. The contributions of diverse researchers are described, with emphasis on the pioneers of the technique, those who developed it in the form encountered today and those who contributed with enabling instrumention.
