Separações em colunas abertas: cromatografia por exclusão e por bioafinidade

Resumo Na década de 1950, iniciou-se a aplicação de dois outros processos de separação que utilizavam colunas cromatográficas abertas: cromatografia por exclusão e cromatografia por bioafinidade. O desenvolvimento de ambas as técnicas dependeu da comercialização de géis de dextrana e de agarose, altamente porosos, seguida da produção de polímeros orgânicos porosos com propriedades similares. Este capítulo sobre as “Pilares de Cromatografia” descreve o início de ambas as técnicas de separação citadas.
