Acessible chromatographic techniques for fungal contaminants determination

Resumo: This text compiles simple and available chromagraphic techniques, such as thin layer chromatography and gas chromatography with flame ionization detection, as determination tools of fungal contamination in foods. Operational protocol and validation methods are emphasized, in order to ensure reliable data generation. Trustworthy data is the cornerstone of food safety throughout the production chain. Hopefully, this text will motivate further studies about mycotoxins contamination regardless of the analytic technique sophistication, thus ensuring a wider outlook of the situation and enable feasible solutions.
